Welcome/Fàilte

I would like to welcome you to our web site which I hope will give you a flavour of life in our school. It was opened in 1975 and since that time we have tried to ensure that our children leave the school with many happy memories of their time at Craighill.    In 1987 we started Gaelic medium education where children study the whole curriculum through the medium of Gaelic, the ancient Celtic language of a large part of Scotland.

It is our belief that every child deserves the very best education and we make it our purpose to provide just that to all the children in our school. In fact our main aim is to provide a caring, happy and stimulating environment for children and staff in which pupils will be guided in the development process of becoming thinking, caring, responsible and knowledgeable members of society.

We aim to stretch and challenge children at every stage of their development and offer a wide variety of subjects. We also try to ensure that our children have a positive self-esteem to build up their confidence and allow them to make difficult decisions which will ultimately be in their best interests.

Above all we are proud of our pupils and what they achieve, and share with them a pride in our school. We like to think that we are a happy learning community, where learning is enjoyed and valued. We believe that we offer a very good educational experience for our children.

I hope that looking through this site you will gain an insight into our school. However please feel free to come and visit us to see for yourself.
